About This Whiskey

mrut Naarangi is a distinctive Indian single malt whisky that showcases Amrut Distilleries' innovative approach to flavor infusion. The name "Naarangi" translates to "orange" in Hindi, reflecting the unique maturation process employed to impart subtle citrus notes to the whisky. Production Process: To create Naarangi, Amrut matured their single malt in ex-bourbon casks for three years. Separately, they seasoned Oloroso sherry casks with a combination of sherry and fresh orange peels for two years. After this seasoning period, the whisky was transferred into these specially prepared casks and matured for an additional three years, allowing the orange-infused sherry casks to impart nuanced citrus flavors to the spirit.
